Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need help from an adult?
Yes , depending on your age and strength, you may need help from an adult.
I followed the instructions but my Thumbs-up Bot is not moving forward, what should I do?
This could be because of several reasons:
- Because your batteries are not new and/or a little weak.
I therefore invite you to insert new batteries .
- Because the orange sockets are too tight and your Thumbs-up Bot is not mobile enough.
I therefore invite you to slightly loosen the sockets .
- Because the red and black wires are installed backwards.
I invite you to check the connection of the red and black wires using the explanations in the instructions and the assembly video.
- Because the worm gear and the gear are not in contact with each other.
I therefore invite you to push the worm gear more or less so that it is well engaged with the axle gear.
- Because the elastic is too tight between the plate and the wheel on the axle or is not positioned on the pulley.
I invite you to check that the elastic is well placed on the pulley and free to move on the rod .
- It is also possible that the arms and rocker arms are not correctly aligned.
I invite you to check that everything is symmetrical .
My Thumbs-up Bot makes a loud spinning noise, what should I do?
This may be because the worm gear is too far down on the motor shaft.
I therefore invite you to remove the worm gear and push it in very lightly again (it must be inserted 1/3 of the motor rod ).
My Thumbs-up Bot is walking backwards, what should I do?
This may be due to the installation of the connection wires from the battery box to the motor that are backwards.
I invite you to check the connection of the red and black wires using the explanations in the instructions and the assembly video.
